Xbox Music official app lands in Google Play

Well, truth is that we had already seen this coming… Microsoft announced today the launch of its official Xbox Music app in Google Play. According to the company’s statement, the app, which initially packs limited features as we saw, will only work with Xbox Music Pass subscription (that comes at a cost of $9.99 per month or $99.99 for a year) and offers unlimited music streaming.

So far Xbox Music is currently available in only 22 countries, so you’d better check out the web version of the service here and if it works for you, you probably live in a supported country/ region.

Taken from Microsoft’s official press release, here are the main features of Xbox Music Android app

  • Stream ad-free music from a catalogue of tens of millions of songs
  • Add songs, albums, and playlists to your Xbox Music collection and access them from other device
  • Create playlists that sync across your phone, Xbox 360, PC, tablet, and the web
  • Listen to music while using your Android phone
  • Coming soon: download your music for listening offline

If you are already drooling and your country is supported, then you can grab the app from Google Play.
