It looks like Samsung is bound to launch a new mid-range phablet (if 5.5-inch is still considered a phablet) soon as the device with the model number SM-G739F has been tested for 3D graphics performance over at GFXBench.
According to the GFXBench listing, the Samsung SM-G739F will feature a 5.5-inch display with 720p resolution, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, an Adreno 305 GPU, 1.3GB of RAM, with 12GB of usable storage. The device will also feature a 7MP/2MP camera combo that is capable of recording 1080p videos, and will run on the latest Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat.
From the look of it’s specs, the Samsung SM-G739F could be an addition to the Galaxy Mega line of phablets but the odd model numbering is what’s keeping us for being certain. But one thing is for sure, you’ll be hearing more about this device soon and you can count on it that we’ll be there to keep you updated with it.
