Unannounced Samsung Galaxy W Spotted In South Korea

Galaxy W

An unannounced Samsung Galaxy W has been spotted in a brochure for SK Telecom in South Korea. And as seen on the brochure, the device will feature a 7-inch display and “Phoneblet UX” which indicates that the device will be a GSM device and will be categorized as a phone by Samsung. Yes, it’s a 7-inch phablet.

Interestingly though, the source claims that the Galaxy W will have the international name of Galaxy Mega 2, which we all know is Samsung’s non S-Pen featured phablet line of smartphones. And if this is indeed the case, the device will feature a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot, and an 8MP/2MP camera combo. The device is also said to run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy W has yet to be announced, and there’s no certainty about the words about the device being the Galaxy Mega 2, so consider the Galaxy W as a complete mystery for now aside from the fact that it will feature a 7-inch display and a UI designed for phablets. Don’t take out the possibility of the device being an exclusive in Korea as well. We’ll keep you updated.
