American mobile chip manufacturer Qualcomm announced a new high-end processor from its Snapdragon series, the 805. The updated chipset will better Snapdragon 800 in both graphical and computational capabilities. The quad-core Krait 450 CPU will reach speeds up to 2.5GHz and have a memory bandwidth of up to 25.6 GB/second (Snapdragon 800 manages “only” 14.9 GB/s).
