Well it looks like Qualcomm – with its Snapdragon 805 SoC- is once again in the first place as far as it concerns the most powerful chipset in the market today.
According to CNET Editors – who managed to test the latest Snapdragon 805 SoC of the company (with a quad core Krait 450 processor @ 2.7GHz, LP-DDR3 RAM, Adreno 420 GPU). This SoC is being manufactured in 28nm, and supports USB 3.0, up to 55MPixels cameras and 4K capture/playback. In the benchmarks it managed to demolish the A7 SoC of Apple but also its predecessor Snapdragon 801.
Don’t forget that we’re also waiting for Snapdragon 808 and 810 of the company, the first ones to support 64bit architecture.
