Gone are the days when large phones, or phablets as we call it, were ridiculed due too it’s size. Now, phablets are generally accepted by the public mainly for the same reason – size.
Phablets has been a game-changer in recent years making people realize that bigger is indeed better. Bigger screen for better viewing, bigger battery for longer usage, and of course bigger on-screen keyboard to lessen typo errors. And as appealing as it sounds, Phablets does take time to get used to, but the thing is, it’ll definitely take longer for one to switch back to using a smaller phone again which makes phablets hard to ditch once you have tried it.
And now, Chinese manufacturer Mlais is tries to give a new definition to the word phablet with it’s announcement of the M81.
The Mlais M81 steps into the boundary of phablet and tablets featuring a 7-inch display which is of course, the minimum size for tablets. Rest of the specs includes 1920 x 1200 resolution display (324 ppi), Gorilla Glass 2, a MTK6592 MediaTek octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, a Mali-450 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot, a 14MP back-illuminated camera, a 5MP CMOS sensor type at the front, and a 3,000mAh battery. The M81 will run on Android 4.4.3 Kit Kat out of the box.
