Galaxy Core Advance

According to our trustworthy folks at SamMobile, the Sansung Galaxy Core smartphone will soon have a successor in the form of the Galaxy Core Advance (GT-I8580). The upcoming smartphone will feature a revamped design with a “soft feel” coated back cover and will come with physical buttons, being the most noticeable hardware changes from the original Galaxy Core.

The Galaxy Core Advance will be running Android 4.2 with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and 1GB of RAM. The phone will have HSPA support, a 4.7-inch WVGA TFT Display, 5MP camera, 8GB internal memory (expandable via a external slot), and a 2000mAh battery.

The Galaxy Core Advance will also have enhanced accessibility features for the disabled and visually impaired users. It will also feature an Optical Scanner that will automatically read the texts aloud, Light Sensing technology that uses the device’s camera to sense light direction and brightness, and Instant Voice Recorder that offers simplified access to make quick voice notes. The Core Advance will also pack a Screen Curtain that will allow users to operate commands on a black screen to ensure privacy and saves battery life, high quality TTS (Text-to-Speech) functionalities and Voice Guided Camera functions to help users take pictures by reading out the number of faces detected and their standing location. The Galaxy Core Advance is said to come next year in Deep Blue and Pearl White color options.
