Galaxy Gear Compatibility Coming to 8 Smartphones Through Software Update

The Samsung Galaxy Gear is the company’s first smart-watch and it can be also considered as an extension of the Galaxy family. However, it’s not been received all that well, and part of it was due to compatibility – it is only compatible with two devices at the moment which is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.

Well that part of the problem (at least) will be fixed soon as Samsung will be rolling out updates that will enable the following devices for Galaxy Gear support:

  • Galaxy S4
  • Galaxy Note II
  • Galaxy S3
  • Galaxy S4 Mini
  • S4 Active
  • Mega 5.8
  • Mega 6.3
  • Galaxy S4 Zoom

But this does not guarantee that all mentioned devices will be getting the Android 4.3 update along with it, or at least Samsung haven’t said as much but we will keep you updated like always  do.

Will more compatible devices raise the Galaxy Gear’s popularity? or the Galaxy Gear is just not that appealing to people? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
