Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update Now Rolling Out For The Sprint Moto X

It has been tipped last week that the tasty Android 4.4.2 update will finally make it’s way to the Sprint Motorola Moto X, and the tip proved to be accurate as the latest Android version is now rolling out for the US variant of the device. The update isn’t a huge bump from the previous Android 4.4 update though, with only 156.5MB in size. Here’s some details regarding the update:

  • Software build – 161.44.32.ghost_sprint.Sprint.en.US
  • Printing documents and pictures – Added support for printing photos, Google Docs, GMail messages, and other content via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hosted services like Google Cloud Print and HP ePrinters.
  • Improved battery life – Fixed bugs which caused a small number of users to experience shorter battery life after upgrading to Android 4.4.
  • Fixed email sync delays – Fixed a bug that could cause email services like Microsoft Exchange to experience intermittent delays in data synchronization.

You can get the update by going to your device’s settings, then go to about phone, then system updates. The update takes about 3-5 minutes so make sure you have enough battery before going with the update.

This makes the AT&T Moto X the sole variant which has yet to receive the update, but we’ll keep you AT&T users updated like we always do.
