Acer To Launch Wearable Devices Later This Year

Most people including me has been saying that this year will be the year where wearable tech devices emerge. And from the looks of what we have seen at CES 2014, that prediction was spot on with several OEMs like Sony, ZTE, Huawei, Samsung, and many more jumped onto the wearable tech bandwagon. And we are only at the first quarter.

And now Acer’s VP for corporate account business division, Peter Shieh, has also stated the company’s plans to launch their own wearables for this year as well. He said that they had demonstrated their products to some of their clients back at CES. They are still developing certain types of wearable devices, but they are certainly aiming to play a new role in the wearable tech market.

Shieh also added that they plan on launching more 4G smartphones, to further compete at the mid-level Android smartphone market.
