Monday 6 January 2014: Google joined a new partnership with automakers General Motors, Audi, Honda and Hyundai to bring Android to the open road. The companies, with semiconductor firm Nvidia, announced the formation of the Open Automotive Alliance (OAA) which is an industry group committed to bringing the Android platform to cars starting in 2014. A common platform that will drive innovation, and make technology in the car safer and more intuitive for everyone.
