We have spotted via GFX Bench’s website a Samsung smartphone with a model number SM-G900S that sports a 2560×1440 display and a 2.5 Ghz Snapdragon 800 chip. And judging by the high specs of the device, it could very well be the much anticipated Galaxy S5, or the follow-up device to the Galaxy Round.
And as we said in our previous report about Meizu teasing a smartphone with a 2560×1536 display, this high resolution will obviously eat more battery juice which is one of the main reason why the battery life of mobile devices doesn’t improve much every after year.
So if this is indeed the rumored Galaxy S5, let’s hope that a 64-bit processor will help counter this issue and also, a bigger battery or battery technology wouldn’t hurt.
