Samsung HomeSync available in the US on October 6

Samsung announced yesterday that “HomeSync”, its Android-powered media center device, will be available in the U.S. from Saturday, October 5th, at a price of $200. According to the official press release, HomeSync will allow you to play content from the Google Play Store and Samsung’s own media store on your TV, while letting you use a compatible Galaxy smartphone as a remote!


The HomeSync device from Samsung comes with 1TB of storage capacity and support for up to eight user accounts, with each account user allowed to upload and store content and access features such as web browsing, YouTube, games, and more. Those who register their HomeSync with Samsung will also get free credit worth $50 for content purchases.
