Samsung Galaxy S5, Note 4 To Sport Improved Touch Screen Features

According to financial services holding company Stifel, Synaptics has once again been chosen by Samsung to develop the touch screen technology for the upcoming Galaxy S5 and Note 4 devices. Last year, Synaptics contributed greatly to the Galaxy S4 and Note 3’s success with their touch-free gesture feature.

As for the next generation Galaxy S and Note devices, etnews has reported that Synaptics has managed to improve the hovering detection, making features such as Air Gesture and Air View greatly improved. The stylus pen functionality for the Note series has been improved as well, and allows the screen to recognize a passive pen point that measures only 2.5pi. This translates into more accurate hand writing.
