The official Twitter account of Samsung Exynos has made a tweet yesterday that hints about an upcoming Exynos chip to be revealed at CES 2014. The tweet points out that CES 2014 is right around the corner and asks if we are ready to unlock Samsung Exynos.
What we’re guessing is it would probably be the 64-bit Exynos processor that is expected to be carried by the much anticipated Galaxy S5. Samsung’s CEO JK Shin announced back in September that Samsung’s future flagship smartphones will have 64-bit processing functionality after knowing that the newly announced iPhone 5s runs on a 64-bit A7 CPU.
Another possibility is that this could be the full utilization of Samsung Exynos 5 octa-core processor where it can now run all 8 cores active at once, like the MediaTek MT6592.
If it is indeed one of the two, which would you want on your future Samsung device? A new technology 64-bit processor that is said to take app/game experience to a whole new level or a true octa-core experience that is said to solve all heating and battery issues?
