Yet another problem has risen regarding the production line of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 and this time it is relevant to the ISOCELL camera lens of the device, since the production of these lenses has proven to be… faulty. The specific lens is made from 6 parts instead of 5 (in Galaxy S4) so the number of faulty lenses has increased significantly. Almost 20-30% of the lenses are of acceptable quality and this problem seems to be stalling the whole manufacturing procedure.
Even if the production line of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 isn’t affected, the Korean company keeps loosing money with this problem, since 70-80% of the lenses are trash. No one knows if Samsung will solve this problem in time for the world premiere of the device around the 11th of April.
