The Korean OEM, Pantech, sent invitations to the press for an event that will take place on October 10th. This invitation shows a brand new bigger phablet than the company’s Vega LTE-A model.
According to rumors the new phablet will be called Vega Note and will have the following specs:
- 5.9” Full HD display
- Snapdragon 800 quad-core CPU at around 2.3 GHz quad-core
- LTE-A support (up to 150 Mbps)
- 2 GB of RAM
- Stylus/Pen support
- Android 4.2.2
As we can see in the event’s invitation photo, there is a “secret” wax seal and a fingerprint in the corner. So maybe Korean OEM is hinting that Vega Note will come with a trackpad/fingerprint sensor on the back.
From the rumored specs, it’s obvious that the new Vega Note will be a direct competitor to the Galaxy Note 3.
So, will Vega Note be able to compete with Galaxy Note 3? This is something that remains to be proved.
