The heroic HTC HD2 (also) runs on Android 4.4 KitKat!

Well we all know that the HTC HD2 is a living legend in the smartphone market, a device that was unveiled in 2009 running on Windows Mobile 6.5 and even though now it has been… decommissioned there are dozens of ROMs available for it, like Windows RT, Windows Phone 8, Windows Phone 7.5, Android (various versions from Froyo to Jelly Bean), even Firefox OS!

Recently some people over at xda developed a new Android 4.4 KitKat ROM for HTC HD2 and it looks quite promising! Obviously some things don’t work well (like WiFi, microSD slot etc, but most of these problems can be easily solved in the future). Let’s not forget that HTC HD2 is a single core smartphone @1GHz, with 576MB of RAM and still it shows that Android 4.4 KitKat can run on low end smartphones with just a little more than 512MB.
