Confirmed: No more updates for Samsung Galaxy S2, S2 4G, and Galaxy Note

Ok, so we brought you some good news earlier, now it’s time to tell you the bad news.

SamMobile has confirmed via Twitter that Samsung has officially stopped the development for the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note. That no more Android updates will come.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note at the time of their release brought huge success that made the Galaxy and Note series what they are now.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been considered by many (including me) the best designed Galaxy smartphone and it was also one of the most popular device that Samsung has ever produced. The Galaxy Note meanwhile is Samsung’s first smartphone-tablet device gained popularity over time that produced two successors which are now the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Note 3.

And what’s even more bad news is according to a Telstra representative, Samsung has also confirmed that there will be no more updates planned for the SGS2 4G as well.

Both devices has been out for two years now and it’s inevitable that the updates will stop coming. But looking at the bright side, both the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note are still beasts of a phone that can still run up to par with most new devices out there.
