BLU has been known to manufacture budget-friendly smartphones featuring mid to high end specs for quite a time now, and now the US based manufacturer is showing no signs of slowing down as it announces a new line of smartphones in the “C” series.
BLU’s C series will consists of four 5-inch smartphones – all running Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat with Dual-SIM support. Apparently, the word C stands for ‘color’ as the devices will come in a range of vivid and bold colors. Now off to meet them.
The first one is the Studio 5.0 C HD, which features the best specs namely a 5-inch display with 1080 x 720 resolution, a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot, an 8MP rear camera, and a 2,000mAh battery. The Studio 5.0 C HD will be priced at $149 – which tells us that this will be a direct competitor to Motorola’s Moto G.
Next One is the Studio 5.0 C, that features a lower screen resolution of 854 x 480. It is powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor, has 512MB of RAM, a 5MP camera, and a ,1800,mAh battery. 4G LTE connectivity support is non-existent here, but not bad for it’s $109 price tag.
Moving on with the much lower-specced ones, the Studio 5.0 CE and the Studio C Mini are entry-level smartphones, with the Studio 5.0 CE featuring a 5-inch dispay with 854 x 480 resolution, a dual-core MediaTek MT6571 processor, 4GB of expandable storage, and a 3.2MP camera. The Studio 5.0 CE is priced at $89.
The Studio C Mini on the other hand is the only smartphone in this series to feature a smaller 4.7-inch display, featuring a 800 x 480 screen resolution, a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 512MB of RAM, and a 5MP camera – all for $119.
