ASUS first introduced it’s ZenFone line of Android smartphones last January at CES, and has been already out for quite some time now in Taiwan. And after several months, the ZenFone line will finally be made available in other markets starting with China as it has been officially announced today.
As for it’s specs, The ASUS ZenFone 5 features a 5-inch display with 720p display, powered by an Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot, and an 8MP/2MP camera combo. The ASUS ZenFone 5 will carry an affordable 999 Yuan price tag, which equates to about $160, which is great for it’s medium-ranged specs.
Judging by ASUS’ movements in the past, the device will probably be made available in other Asian markets as well, but we doubt that it will be made available in western countries espicially in the US. But we’ll keep you updated.
