ASUS Announces The PadFone E



Asus has been known to manufacture hybrid devices on the domain of both personal and mobile computing. They are the first ones to produce a hybrid tablet/laptop device with their popular transformer series.

And now Asus announced yet another hybrid device in the PadFone E, only this time, it’s a smartphone that can be converted into a tablet.

The PadFone E runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and features a 4.7-inch display with 1280 x 720 resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, packs 1GB of RAM, a 13MP camera, and a 1,820mAh battery.

The dock on the other hand sports a 10-inch screen and has a 5,000mAh battery inside that can charge the PadFone E when connected. It also sports a 1MP camera on the front.

The Asus PadFone E will be available in black and white color options. We’ll keep you updated regarding it’s pricing and availability.
