Archos, if you haven’t heard of them yet, is a French consumer electronics company that manufactures portable media players and portable data storage devices.
And a few days ago the company announced the European release of a new line of mid-ranged smartphones called the Titanium line, which consists of the Archos 40, 45, 50 and 53. The Titanium line of smartphones are similarly specced, where the only differences are in the display and battery departments.

The Titanium smartphones’ prices starts at €99 for the Archos 40, €129 for the Archos 45, 149 for the Archos 50, and €159 for the Archos 53. These are budget phones offering smart phone qualities, with screen sizes relating to the model numbers starting with the 4-inch Archos 40, going all the way up into small phablet territory with the Titanium 53 boasting a 5.3-inch 854 x 480 display.
Archos has also partnered up with MediaTek, that supplied the Titanium range with their dual-core MT 6572 platform, which integrates a 3G+ dual-core processor with advanced Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and FM functionality as well as support for 3D Graphics, HD capable video and MediaTek’s Miravision display enhancement technology.

Though Archos announced the Titanium line of smartphones and tagged them with prices, there’s no word as yet as to the availability of the devices. We will keep you updated.
