Apple may need Samsung for making some of iPhone 6’s A8 processors

Past rumors says that the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) will be the one in charge of the production some of Apple’s future chips, and till now has never been confirmed or at least given more information about. But The Korea Economic Daily have just claimed that Samsung will be the one to make 30 to 40 percent of Apple’s A8 processors for next year, with TSMC assembling most of the parts. Apple obviously wanted TSMC to be the only one to produce the chips but Samsung has led to a supplementary agreement on building 20 nanometer-class chips according to the sources. Neither of the companies has commented on the report yet.
