It looks like Android 4.4 KitKat already runs on 1.1% of all Android smartphones just 3 weeks after its official release to all manufacturers, according to data from Android MarketShare. The new KitKat edition is now available for Nexus 5 (pre-installed) and has been available as an update for Nexus 7 and 10 tablets along with HTC One Google Edition. (Samsung Galaxy S4 GPE will soon follow).
Google announced yesterday its official stats regarding all the previous versions of the Android OS, and you can see them in the image above. According to these, Android Jelly Bean now has a 54.5 percentage, Ice Cream Sandwich has an 18.6% share and Gingerbread still has a 26.3% market share!
