Android 4.4.3 update goes live for unlocked HTC One (M8) in US

As promised, HTC has started rolling out Android 4.4.3 update for the unlocked One (M8) in the United States. The update is only valid for the consumers, who purchased their unlocked HTC One (M8) smartphone from HTC directly in the US.

Around 590MB in size, the update is being released over-the-air. It is expected to include security enhancements, bug fixes as well as the OpenSSL specific fixes released by Google as a part of Android 4.4.4. Other changes are a mystery right now as HTC has not revealed a full change-log.

After the update, the HTC One M8) owners will also be able to download the updated Clock app, which was released in the Google Play recently.

There is no word on when the update will reach other One (M8) variants but it shouldn’t take much time.  To remind you, the Sprint version of the smartphone has already got the update and is now on Android 4.4.3.
