Acer Liquid Z5 Released In Europe And Asia


Acer’s latest affordable Android smartphone, the Liquid Z5 was announced back at CES and was set to launch in the following weeks. And now they have kept their word and started rolling the device out in Asia and in Europe.

Looking at the screenshot above, the Liquid Z5 may look like somehwat a Windows Phone 8 but it is running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean but with WP-like launcher. And as for the specs, the affordable smartphone features a 5-inch display with a low 854 x 480 resolution, a dual-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 512MB or RAM, 4GB of storage expandable via a microSD card slot, and a 2,000mAh battery.

The Liquid Z5 also has custom features like Quick Modes, which is the launcher that made the phone’s UI look like Windows Phone 8, and a rapid button on the back. The device is now on sale in France, Italy, Netherlands, and the UK. Amazon France offers the lowest price at $229 (€169).
